Beautiful Morning | + Lighten Diagram | Anne Lindfjeld
🕑 Added 2024-11-07 09:00:04 +0000 UTCOnce in a while, I do stuff just for the fun of it. ๐๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Like, there's no real demand, requirements or anything when doing these - it's just plain fun, because I want to hang out with people who over the years has become my real good friends. ๐ซถ๐ป
This photoshoot is a great example of such an event. โบ๏ธ
It can't come to anyones surprise that the fine lady is my good 'ol friend Anne Lindfjeld (which you've seen multiply times here on the channel - latest in some commercial stuff we did for a hotel in Copenhagen). ๐คฉ๐๐ป
We've created this atmospheric and moody portrait series focusing on a 'wet look'! ๐ฅ
Technical insights..
So, the setup was in fact pretty simple; A Canon R5 camera with a Canon 100 mm f./2.8 L USM Macro lens, two polyboards, an olive colored backdrop & one Elinchrom RX600 flash with an Octabox equipped. ๐ค
Below is an overview of how the setup was. ๐๐ป
When shooting dark stuff on a not-so-dark backdrop (which was totally on purpose by the way!), it's important to get some distance between the subject and the backdrop - to optimize the light lost when shooting (= creating a darker look!) ๐
Did that make any sense?
I used this colored Colorama Olive backdrop because we wanted to implement just elements of color into the final results. Going with a completely black backdrop wouldn't give us the specific look we were aiming for - so I achieved the look just by pulling Anne a bit further away from the backdrop. ๐๐ป๐
(Notice that I used two polyboards; one to suck all the reflection on the models right side and one to bounce away the light and block it of shining on the backdrop ๐ค)
Practically speaking of the wet look she achieved, that was all done with a combination of hair oil and some fancy shampoo, made for the only purpose of creating this moisturized look for the hair. I know nothing about this part, but please let us know if there's anything you will like to know about that part - then I will go ask Anne right away. ๐ ๐๐ซถ๐ป
We wanted to go the complete opposite way of this shoot we once did, outside on a super windy day. This time around we didn't want any wind OR dry hair like that last time. ๐
WHAT DO YOU THINK? ๐๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
- Let us know if you wants to see more with her in the future, got some ideas on what could be awesome to do or just have some technical questions or thinks you would like to know. ๐๐ป

Hvis det er nipples du tรฆnker pรฅ, sรฅ ja, de er kamuflerede en anelse, fordi det fungerede bedst som helhed for billederne synes jeg. โบ๏ธ
