I hate to agree with this, but must. Regardless of the 'side' and motivations of anyone who commits political violence, it's still violence and wrong and should not be condoned or celebrated.

Scott talked about the skill needed for the shot -- the perp used a rifle, so this actually did not require any particular skill. If he'd used a pistol that would have definitely been a very difficult shot, but with a rifle pretty much any untrained person could do it. For example, many people (including Penn & Teller) have re-done the JFK shot with no training and had no problem hitting the target.

If one side can justify violence for spewing hate, decides to spew hate.. remember, the same logic can be applied (cancel culture is being applied already. We lost our jobs during covid and hated cancel culture. Don't think a weaponized political view sparked by hatred can dish it out and not expect the same thing that drove them to this action would do the same to the right. I fear for yall. Stay safe and keep dumb opinions to yourselves. Could have the same or WORSE consequence as he met.

Thanks for this - not an easy subject matter. I also watched the close-up video and had bad dreams 😕. I actually enjoyed listening to Charlie Kirk (YouTube algorithm fed me tons of shorts), even though I disagree with nearly all his talking points. He was a supreme debater -- no matter what side of politics you're on -- and that's a noteworthy skill. I think it's extremely oversimplifying to say "he got what he deserved" as many people on social media are fond of saying. No one deserves that, but we all deserve the right to disagree without violent retribution.
