Not sure if you noticed, but in that last shot, Ed used his foot to reach for Stede. Another interesting thing is how Jack gets immediately a lot less drunk and stupid once he had Ed in the boat and even remembered Stede's name all of a sudden... (Oh and funny thing about ep7: when lucius says to Ed *everyone* is worried about impressing him—you know he has had to listen to Pete for weeks fretting about this 😂 Coming up with ways to 'show initiative'...)
