I think they've said on the podcast (or possibly the people's podcast) that they order all the tiebreakers by how entertaining/interesting they turn out to be, and then use them in that order as needed.

They got the number wrong for Alex' age. He was 16908 days old on December 25 2024. I did the math in my head and couldn't figure out why the heck I was that far off what he listed.

I’ve just realised that Nick Mohammed’s terrible bath pearls prize task was featured here in Andy’s smell and then again in s19 when Fatiha (I think) uses them in the water task! Ardal’s owl was on the window sill in the kitchen. It’s amazing how often it crops up, Steve’s flan throw, Lucy wandering around with it in the hotel task for no reason. I love it as it’s on sale in every garden centre in the uk.

The three person teams story would not be end of news, but a local interest piece in the B block, after weather. So is the 2 person team, but I'm just being too picky, perhaps in the UK the end story is a reporter on the spot story about something cute.

I've worked in news for many years, and I can tell you the end of news story is called a 'Kicker'. Though it would only ever be a minute max, and even that is pushing it.
