Actually there is a door near the bottom right corner of that patio, leading in to the coat-check room with the long counter and several lockers, however it is rather hard to make out due to the angle. I had to zoom way in to find it.

I had noticed the stairs and the patio ... except there doesn't seem to be a door there either. You would expect it to enter next to the bar, but I only see a wall there with 2 posters on it ...

Heh, I had the same question. Top right corner of the map there is a patio with stairs coming up to it from the street.
