Real or virtual table top?

How many of you actually use a TV to play my maps in this cyberpunk world?
Should I optimize more for VTTs?

I`ll take a hybrid approach. Using Foundry to display the location to spice up the details in battles or to give a better feeling for the surroundings. We all move on the same screen. Works perfectly for my intentions, cause every participant gets a clear idea of the area, for purposes where to move, cover, distance covered, wheres the enemy. Enjoying fights way more now. All else we play at our table in my living room. But this is such a great way to flavour the otherwise "slighty flat" fights in a normal P&P session.

I play live and in person but each player has a laptop which uses a vtt. TV screen on wall for scene setting only.

That's really cool! Was it a personal project or was it a purchase?

I love playing live, but ever since 2020, I've been using VTT exclusively.

I printed maps for years, then projected some, and now only use VTTs (Foundry on the Forge) because of the distance between long time gamer friends.

I use a projector so 4k animated maps on Foundry are onto the tabletop, equivalent of about a 50” TV.

Because of the distance between the group members we use only foundry VTT nowadays.
