Enigmas are so rare that in episode 1, Shaoyu was saying he doesn't believe they exist so....I doubt those doctors had even ever seen an Enigma before. It also explains why Shaoyu jumps to believing Hua Yong is an Alpha rather than an Enigma

Yeah Shaoyou blocked Hua Yong. To be fair, he wouldnโt have blocked him if Wenlang wasnโt there in the hospital room. Shaoyou is forever jealous of Wenlang. Note that when they rescued them from the library, Shaoyou wouldnโt even let Wenlang touch Hua Yong. Even though he knows the truth already and is mad, heโs still on โdo not touch my babyโ mode.
