Newsletter: week of 12/30

I am setting my sights high, hoping to have 450,000 YouTube subs by 2026, but I am also trying to get more sleep and learn to fly fish... here goes nothing. ๐
I also wasn't on my phone or computer much this week, which felt like a breath of fresh air. However, it also led to less watching, reading, and listening. Help me fill in the blanks and share anything you have seen in the comments!
What I saw in the first week of 2025:
A sort of voyeuristic, fly-on-the-wall view of Fred Again's 2024. It got me thinking about filming something like this for myself for a 2025 round-up.
I Spent 1 Year Alone Building My First LOG CABIN With No Experience
On New Year's morning, I watched this, periodically skipping ahead, for at least 40 minutes. Then I walked away thinking, "I could do that." when I knew full well that I could never. Aspirations, I have a few.
An Unfiltered Conversation with Linus Tech Tips
I was a bit unsure of how to feel about LTT after the channel's summer of problems in 2023. While there still aren't many answers to questions and concerns that arose, I really enjoyed this conversation. I also did not realize just how large a company LTT is. All two hours are worth a listen, regardless of how you feel about the company as a whole.
Royalty-free Hudson Valley drone video for everyone
A guy named Jordan Koschei got his FAA drone license, shot a whole bunch of drone footage in NY's Hudson Valley, and then made it free for anyone to use. We stan open source anything. ๐
How I have not seen this before is beyond me, but I'm grateful to be here now.
Tyler the Creator on how creatives should take their power back from analytics
Note to Becca: watch this at least once a month for the next year.

Okay, that is all I have for this week. Next week is CES, and I will be on the show floor! If you see anything interesting or will be in attendance, please let me know! I would love to say hi.
And lastly, whatever your hopes and dreams for this year are, I am sending you all the positivity and support! You got this, bud.
Happy first week of the year, Becca

Happy New Year to everyone! My 2025 started with a bang: Yesterday I became the medical director at my job, and I've had a lot of meetings ๐ I've only had time to watch "Pop Culture Jeopardy!" on Prime Video... it's the first time this game show can be officially watched in Chile, thanks to streaming services ๐ค

Happy New Year. So far mine has been off to a good start, cant complain. At the beginning of the year as a refresher I watch this... (Fuck You, Pay Me) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEa6PdOG2ts I think all creatives should watch this at least once. Oh and I learned to fly fish when I was young, loved it but have a scar on my left butt cheek from hooking myself, DOH!!
