Another Update on the Itch Situation
🕑 Added 2025-07-28 21:56:27 +0000 UTCFor those that aren't in the Discord or following me on Bsky, I recently announced that Hell in the Sheets and Behemoth's Curse are on pause for the time being. These projects are not abandoned. We are simply waiting to see what the new guidelines are for NSFW content across all hosting platforms (Itch, Steam, etc.) before continuing to update them. As it stands, some of the content/themes in both of those projects (Femboys, LGBT+, BDSM) could be twisted into being in violation of the rules, even if we all know there's nothing truly rule breaking there. Worst comes to worst, they will become Patreon-only releases.
The good news is that I'm keeping Croseneu and Poritan busy on a joint project that I'm tentatively calling Hau'oli after the Hawai'ian word for "Happiness". This project will be SFW. Suggestive, but SFW. It will be in the same "universe" as HitS and Lavafalls University, featuring Taylor's sister, Sialia. Expect an introspective journey around darker themes, but ideally one with great respect to the genuine articles as well as a compelling story.
We will probably create a demo/first act, release that, then hunker down to either finish the game entirely or provide regular updates as we have been doing with every other project up to this point. It really just depends on what you all would prefer to see with this shorter, interim project.
As far as the SCP-999 project goes, mono and I are ramping up production in the first weeks of August. As with Hau'oli, we will be making the first act, releasing it, then focusing on finishing the game unless you Patrons prefer the regular updates (i.e. v0.2, v0.3, etc.) of content.
I wish there was more I could say about the situation. The whole team appreciates your support in these unsure times.
