Silver W. King

I ended up using "Kater" for "tomcat".

Benjamin Lawton

"Lion cub" is Löwenjunges, or "young lion". TECHNICALLY, "Junges" would indeed be the correct word – I suppose "youth" could also work as a direct translation – it just has to be in combination with other words.

BASED SERIE!! Trenn must prove himself to be the superior Himmel by breeding his lovely elf mage-wife~! :v Also good to clear up the chapter and age thing then.

Silver W. King

Honestly was not the intention, but yeah, he might end up looking like "Darker Himmel" due to his dark blue hair, as opposed to Himmel's light blue. If he manages to breed Serie, then Serie will rub that in Frieren's face for at least 1000 years.

Silver W. King

No, no. In Chapter 2 of the manga, when Frieren goes to meet Heiter and see Fern for the first time, Fern is 9. This is 20 years after Himmel's death. In this fic, only 10 years have passed and the MC is 8. So by that canon point, he'd be 18.

Deathknight134

Also, I just realized something about the MC's look. Are you going for the "he looks like Himmel" plot when he grows up more? But as a mage?

Deathknight134

Wait, the SI is 18 by ch2? Jesus! Didn't expect that. But nine years older than Fern, huh? I do so love a story with older MCs by start of canon, or Frieren's next adventure in this case. Also, based! Can't wait for when he breeds Serie then~! Best elf, fr fr. Umu! 😏

Silver W. King

Yes about Serie. Fern in Chapter 2 start is 9 and 20 years have passed since Himmel's death, so SI would be 18. Nine years older than Fern.

Deathknight134

So all in on Magic, or he gonna breed some elves at some point~? Like Serie? Also, how much older than Fern is he?

Silver W. King

Motherf--! Google and ChatGPT have lied to me! What's the German word for "cub"? As in lion cub, or tiger cub, or wolf cub, etc.?

Benjamin Lawton

Hmm… Nope. Clues or not, I honestly have no idea who this "Junges" (or "Young" for the non-German speakers in the audience) might be. Someone who's actually watched/read the series might have better luck, though, I did admit to my own deficiency in that department before.

Rabbit of Caerbannog

Thanks for the chapter
