This week, I decided to revisit the first part of Chikara's romance quest. In my initial plan for this encounter, I intended to have the player actually go into the manor with Chikara and do a little Thief-style burglary, but the time constraints when I was initially adding it didn't allow for very much in the way of gameplay here. This next build will address that by adding in the originally planned thieving which will include not one, but two separate scenes!
As you've probably guessed by now, Chikara is the focus of my romance quest development endeavors for the next little bit here. My intention is to bring every romance target up to the same amount of content as Mayor Eliza, and then flesh out the "going steady relationship" parts after that.
One of my plans in this regard is that all the romances, once they reach max level, will have a hidden "clock" of sorts that will count down by 1 each day. Doing things with the romance like talking to them or kissing them will add more days to this counter. If it reaches 0 however, it will trigger special "negligent partner" interactions that I haven't nailed down yet. The interval at which you will need to check up on your girlfriend will be something to nail down in balancing, but I didn't want the romance content to feel like a conquest or something static. The last thing I want is for them to be annoying though, so I want to hear your thoughts on this!

Ok - and now that I think about it the ability to reset relationships in the cheat menu would be a really nice feature for getting the scenes/ replaying it if it bugs or you choose the wrong thing
