DRAFT - A TOUCH OF MATURITY (LUFFY - RAIKOU)

It has been a few days since the Numbers were defeated at Little Garden. With Mr. 3 and Miss Goldenweek defeated and the supplies restocked, the Strawhats are more than ready to go to Alabasta to beat the crap out of Crocodile and take back Vivi's kingdom.
For the meantime, most of the crewmates are doing their job restocking the ship with their new materials as they're preparing to leave. Zoro and Sanji both are cutting down the dinosaur's parts into bits for them to fit in. Usopp is doing nothing less than inspecting and fixing some part of the ships that might have been damaged throughout their journey. Vivi and Karoo also joined in cleaning the Merry. Nami, on the other hand, is observing her Log that is headed for Alabasta, while looking over the whole operation. However, while everyone is doing their respective work, only one person hasn't done anything of the sort.
"It's already noon~" Luffy said nonchalantly, sitting on his favorite spot at the head of the Merry.
And that remark instantly set Nami off, "Oi, Luffy! Don't whine when you can't do anything here!"
Despite his captain status, to Nami and everyone else, he always felt a little irresponsible most of the time with how he stands in their hierarchy. As someone who leads the crew, shouldn't he act a little mature at least when they're already inside the Grand Line?
"Hehe! I forgot!" he responded with his chipper attitude, greatly frustrating the young lady.
His only reason for being one step from being scolded is that for all his faults, he is actually pretty charismatic for a leader. And not to mention the strength of his conviction. She, alongside everyone else, are indebted to him one way or the other, and the adventures they’ve been together serve as the bonding moments which tie their destiny closer to the idealistic dreamer.
Now, if only he could be a little more mature, then maybe they can appreciate having him here.
Nami already felt a little doubtful over their future with Luffy as the head. With how erratic his personality, wouldn’t it be dangerous if they ever got themselves into a situation they can’t escape? This isn’t the East Blue anymore, where the threats are merely sea beasts, run-of-the-mill pirates, and out-of-place Grand Line veterans. It is a treacherous sea, filled with monsters and villains that will make even the strongest Marines flinch their eyes. Even that isn’t comparable to the legend of the New World, where monsters larger than life reside. And with this in mind, they need a more disciplined captain to serve their needs, and he lacks that definite quality..
Luffy, why can't you grow up~?
Nami distracted her pessimistic thought process and returned back to her own duties, leaving behind the bored captain on the front. Despite everything he’s done for her, she can’t help but be doubtful even for a little bit.
As the day continued as usual, suddenly, Vivi, who had been cleaning the rear for a while, spoke to him.
"Um, Luffy, can I ask you for something?" she asked, almost shy in her expression.
He swings from the head and jumps straight in front of her. "What is it?" his cheery voice questioned, very impatient to do something instead of sitting duck up there.
"Ummm…...I think…" she gulped, "I have lost something in the jungle while we're travelling there the last time."
Now it's Nami's turn to be surprised, "Wait, what?!" She appeared right beside her, shaking the poor princess out of her mind, "HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU FORGOT IT?!"
"Kyaaaa!!! Nami, please stop!"
"Shishishishi…….so you lost your jewelry, huh? Don't mind it, I'll get it for you."
"Luffy, you don't even know-"
He disappeared, his distant roar the only reminder of him there.
"-how it looks like?" She sighed, realizing it's just one of those days.
"Don't feel too bad about it. Maybe it's for the better for him to move around a while." Vivi commented, releasing a small breath of air trying to contain her small smile at him.
"Oh, now that I remember something," Nami looked back at Vivi, now curious with this thought. "Vivi, have you ever worn any jewelry at all when you joined us?"
"Ah, " Now the question put her completely off-guard. "Yeah…..of course I do. You must have gotten your memory wrong."
"Oh, I probably am. These days……" She deflected the response with a chuckle. However, within that wry smile, a sense of doubt began to form. As a thief, she would have been perceptive enough to recognize any jewelry at sight. So why…..does she feel as if she's lying?
Fortunately, as immediate is her suspicion, then as immediate it went away.
Pfft, she must be giving Luffy a reason to walk around. What more mess can he get himself into?
And with a little more nudge to Vivi, she continued her work, completely ignorant of the events that would happen next.

The bright sunlight that pierces the thick jungle, one such that every ray can burn any skin into submission. The thick air in the jungle, its tropical environment making the heat even more unbearable as insects of ages past carry on their existence in this fossil of an island. For anyone else, it might have been the obvious sign that humans aren’t allowed in this land.
But not for him.
Luffy travels the jungle, his hands stretching from trees to trees, evocating the actions of monkeys, which isn't surprising considering his habits. With no place for him on the Merry to playfully join as they prepared for another journey, Luffy readily accepts her request without much thought to it.
This jungle, I can’t believe it is this lush! Shishishishishi! Luffy thought to himself, happily carrying himself within the ancient green. This place reminded him of his adventure in the forest back on Fuusha Island with Ace and Sabo. Despite the trees being less bigger and greener than here, to him, he could feel the familiar vibe as he swung over the veins. He could feel how strong the veins are, which allowed him to move more audaciously without fear of falling down, which he never doubted before.
As Luffy swings around the jungle, his mind is set on finding Vivi's lost jewelry, taking his time into having fun while at it. However, a question rings over his head
"But what does it look like again?" A sudden thought interrupted his mind.

"Oh well, it might look shiny then!"
Unknown to him, he has accidentally entered a trap he wouldn’t notice. Not he could ever do with how subtle and slow it is. Luffy is by no means the smartest nor the most perceptive when it comes to mind tricks or magical spells, which makes the trap as the most perfect to affect the future pirate king. By the end of his so-called search, the person who comes out of this forest will be perfectly different from before.
And until then, Luffy will never notice.
Because she had already planned it beforehand.
As he swung by each tree, Luffy began to experience a weird air seeping through his hair, one he conveniently ignored as each swaying hair began to change color. From the jet black he is always known for, it began to look a little more indigo, infecting other strands of his hair as the color change spread down from his scalp.
"Eiiiiiiii!" Luffy was alarmed as a tree branch which he promptly evaded, unaware that his hair had grown to considerable length beyond his head. As a few swings followed, it grew longer and followed the flow of the wind until it reached his knee, the waterfall of purple threads decorating his back.
The pirate, who continued on his search for Vivi's "jewels", is simply having so much fun instead of noticing such trivial things. And due to this, he simply let the changes spread even more.
His hands, which have been stained and scarred by all the fights in the past, mysteriously disappeared and cleaned off his skin, and instead were replaced by a smooth and soft texture like porcelain, as if it had been sheltered throughout its life. Even with Luffy touching the rough branches, the skin isn't affected at all, like it is defending its own texture.
"Weird. I swear this place felt hotter before." Luffy commented. At this point, this change has already encompassed his entire body , leaving behind the boy with an incredibly rich and clean texture, unbefitting of his wild nature.
And it wasn't the end of it.
The weird phenomenon that's affecting him has started to shift his bones and flesh around. Areas where his abs made of years of training flattened, in all areas from the feet. His body could only be described as shrinking, with each jump, Luffy lost a little over inches of his height. The bones were not spared as well, with it continually losing mass as it shifted slowly to fit
Being a Gum-Gum user, this wouldn't have affected him as much as others would with his elastic properties made it easier for these changes to occur. However, Luffy still felt a little tingling here and there, momentarily distracting the rubber man.
"Oooohh, did a mosquito bit me-"
Unfortunate to him, the little distraction at such speed proves to be disastrous for him as a thick branch hits him straight in the head, reorganizing his face to very unfamiliar proportions.
"AHHHHHH!"
SLAM!
Luffy stood back up immediately after, stars still spinning in his head. "Ugh ... .I've never missed a swing like that before…" he complained, though there's little to no sign of injuries to give a sense of pain to the rubber boy, only frustration.
What he didn't know however is that the impact of the fact has shifted his face dramatically. Reforming from the impact, his cheeks have become even rounder, with his chins sharpening up to form a heart-shaped head. His nose shrunk, as well as his eyes, forming a very cute complexion if a stranger ever met him. His mouth has also become incredibly reduced as if the muscles around his mouth are no longer adapted to his wide elastic smile.
Proving himself far more resilient than a normal human, no thanks to his experiences in the jungle, Luffy returned to his composure and thought of returning back to his wild swinging habit, however…..
Ah……why do I feel that is too wild for me? A thought came across his mind, one he never would have considered before. He has always had fun swinging around with his hands ever since he was a kid, so what changes now? It’s as if he's too soft for that kind of thing., "Ah, maybe my head." He justified his reasoning, improbable as it is. The heat must be coming for him.
"I should find the Vivi's thing more closely now." He walked forward, frustrated with his sudden impassion. Maybe he should return to the ship quickly and ask Sanji to make some food for him. That could be it.
Walking the jungle now, Luffy could feel as more sweat was released from him. He wiped his forehead in order to relieve some of that heat, but it never went away. "Ah, so hot…..!" While he's complaining, the sweat evaporates, taking away his tanned skin tone one by one. Luffy isn't necessarily brown in any way, but living in the high seas as well as aggressive time under the sun has burnt his skin to a tropical tan, which has become a sign of his pirate life. And slowly, it faded away, making his skin whiter than ever before.
And before he even walked that long, his skin was as white as powder. With such skin color and fairness, he would look like a sheltered prince in a high kingdom up above.
Of course, Luffy isn’t noticing this, prefers to continue walking over the uneven terrain, and starts to get bored with how hard the search would be. It’s been minutes since he walked around this place without a hint. It’s a mistake to not ask her for details about this. The shape, the color and the last location of this jewellry might give him at least a clue to its whereabouts. This will be hard to find…..
Wait, why am I so into this? I’m just finding an excuse to swing around! Of course, Luffy has no intention of finding her jewelry. All he wanted was a way to divert his boredom somewhere fun. Now that he has lost his interest in finding one and a sense of impassion seeping in, it’s maybe time for him to quit it and eat some meat Sanji can make.
Except……
Something within him wants to stay.
Something that is forcing him to find it
Something…….within his heart.
This feeling is far weirder than what he has experienced before, one he couldn’t explain before. A sense of responsibility? Sure, he has that, but why does it feel heavier now than before? Now with a weight starting to burden down even more, Luffy set his eyes more into finding the jewellry, more determined to find it and get out of this jungle as soon as possible to alleviate this uncomfortable feeling.
“C’mon, it must be somewhere….” Luffy crouched down to the bushes, sliding his hands in to search the unknown treasure beneath the wilderness. The leaves of the bush are far too thick, forcing him to take a longer time to search it.And when his focus is distracted towards the empty bushes, the transformation strikes again, its aura now targeting his lower part. Almost immediately, the changes took form on this part reconfiguring every feature to something beyond anything anyone could imagine.
He sits down even more, pressing his legs together with the higher pressure, subtly taking away even more muscles as it is being filled with more flesh instead. The strong legs that has carried him over the years and filled with the vigor of the young pirate dissipate slowly under the pressure, weakening its fibers and muscles that has long since lost its durability. Within seconds, the muscles immediately contacts from the fatigue, sending shock to the engrossed pirate.
“Yeow! Owowowowwowowow!” He backed out of the bush and rolled left and right, in pain from the cramps and tried his best to dissipate the pain away to no avail. “Ahhhhhh, why cramps here of all places?!” While he’s suffering the pain of the cramps, the legs took noticeable change from the weakening of the flesh. There, his thighs began to gain mass, not that of muscle, but that of fat. Thick, insoluble fat began to fill up the crevices of his thighs, rendering his muscles moot as the squishy material became the main front of its texture. His pain distracts from the expansion of his fat-filled thighs until by the end of it, it has already become as big and squishy as a pillow, crushing between it the soon-to-be-gone flaccid dick of Monkey D. Luffy.
“Ahhhhhh………~” it is only minutes later when the pain finally subsidies, letting Luffy to finally stop from flailing around and lay on the ground absolutely grounded. “Weird………” he spoke to himself. He’s simply taking a quick look at the bushes, so why does his legs hurt so much? He doesn’t even sit improperly and the cramps somehow affects his entire legs. What’s happening?
Besides the clear display of the thick and soft features of his thighs, Luffy could only imagine that he probably had a struck nerve or two, cutting off the guesses as soon as possible. Since nothing could possibly ignite a muscle cramp of a rubber man, then maybe it’s a coincidence his nerves aren't as flexible as he expected. Granted, the fight with that candleman and that creepy painter girl has something to do with it.
“Guhh…….guess I still need rest after all.” He’d considered returning to the Merry, but he has to return searching Vivi’s necklaces despite the impossibility. Why is he so damned determined to find the necklaces again? It’s no longer about taking his boredom away, he’s already past that. No, this is not just about entertainment, but simply a responsibility with him as the captain to take care of his crewmates needs, and with it, helping them to solve their problems.
That is why he has to find that necklace. Now filled with a newfound drive, Luffy stood back up to at least guess the whereabouts of the missing necklace. Technically, there must be somewhere that Vivi could have opened it at her own will and unintentionally left it there. Vivi’s not an idiot to forget losing her necklace here. That’s what Luffy thought.
And if it’s not the jungle here where it’s lost, then…….

Groggy’s base! That’s the place! That is the only place where Vivi could have done it while she and him are talking to the amazing giant! He thanked his little mind and moved out swinging again, this time with a clear destination in mind.
Her now sharp mind swings across the jungle unimpeded, the change in limbs and body shape are nothing compared to the clearness her intellect has been. Beginning from this search, Luffy is now a far more calmer and fast-paced person than he realized, thinking straight without forgetting the details in.. Against his original nature, this is a starkly different personality she began with.
But it got even stranger. He smiled softly from the breath of fresh air of the jungle. He breathed in and out incessantly, bringing his chest up and down from the extreme activity. However, the activity doesn’t happen unabated as the chest itself is affected by this. With his passing breath, his chest continually loses the lanky physique it once possessed, lumping flesh in a small saggy amount. And with each thump of his chest, it becomes increasingly bigger with the lushness beginning to make the flesh far more softer and fleshier than one might expect.
Alongside it, his waist was thinning, losing the broad and wide features of the body as it stretches and contracts, sharpening his sides with little to no resistance. The loss of the tough exterior is replaced then to the hips, which has inversely shaped, gaining more roundness and plumpness as it tightens the blue pants he wore into a more mature frame.
The increasingly expanding breasts of him have not only stopped, but have only become far larger than ever. From what was a flabby chest part that doesn’t pass the A-cup, with each swing and slide, it has now become a pair of F-cup balloons that entirely hinges on its ability to remain restrained with the single button that his shirt.

The oblivious pirate continued on his way to the destination, swinging around tree branches despite the feminization of his frames, in order to answer his doubts on the location of the jewel. Luffy falls down the ground shocked, a little bit annoyed by the crash. I haven’t crashed this bad for so long! What’s happening? His mind spewed out thoughts, trying to rationalize the sudden miscalculation his body had conjured. For someone like him, it’s impossible for him to miss a landing, the monkey he is. Yet, looking back, Luffy began to realize something.
Should I keep on swinging from branches? This is what he has always done after all. But something in his head compels him to abandon the thought process. Hmmm…..for someone like me, it’s maybe preferable if I walk instead.
“Araaaaaaaa…….what a messy situation I’m in.” He grumbled, still messaging his bruised bottom. He hasn’t noticed that the crash has completely changed his voice, with Adam's apple inverts into his throat without his notice. It hurts…….
Even his mind seems to take a hit as well. “Now that I think about it, Vivi never wore jewellry, right?” He pondered, remembering all of his time with Vivi. He couldn't help but to feel that his mind was becoming much calmer and faster, suppressing his impulse down to a beat. Hmmmm, how curious. Maybe I should talk again with her.
The impact itself creates an unnatural sense of pain coming from his buttocks. Like earlier, his butt felt like a hammer smashed onto his back, giving a substantial amount of pain that he shouldn’t have felt from a normal crash.

While she’s deep in thought, a final stream of energy wraps around the newly feminized captain. Nami, Zoro, Usopp and Vivi all sighed. The new Luffy has been an oddity ever since she returned back from her trip into the jungle, not only as a woman, but as this weirdly mature version of one after a full run across the jungle. To say none of them are surprised is a massive lie. They tried to understand what had occurred back in the jungle, but none could convince Luffy that she is anyone other than who she is now, a girl. Once they calmed down however, they began to think about how to deal with their new captain. Now as this woman, she has been incredibly active even more so than the normal Luffy has ever been.
For one, unlike her old self, she has been particularly a lot more orderly than anyone navigating this ship, giving out a routine of orders that they all follow meticulously if not utterly confused. The ship becomes a lot less chaotic with Luffy’s new self in line, wasting no time maintaining the ship and its navigation while putting the crew with a fun party in their free time. While she acts a far more responsible version of their beloved captain, her almost chaotic energy still seeped inside her demeanor. Ecstatic and infinitely curious, they felt very little boredom despite their routine. For everyone involved, she is one way or the other, perfect for the role. However……
“Vivi, don’t you have a cure for this?”
Nami whispered to her. She might be the perfect version of Luffy she imagined, but to her, there’s simply something wrong with the fact that Luffy isn’t himself at all like this. Watching her replacing Luffy’s role so thoroughly emits a certain uneasy and alien feeling from her, which others share as well except the pervert chef.
“Uh…um……maybe. The effects wear off gradually if you don’t keep the hypnosis up, so I’m sure Luffy would return back to normal.”
She sighed in relief. So this will be a permanent change, huh? Vivi reveals her involvement in using certain magic when Luffy is all but quiet, so she could only rely on her to reverse the change. While she appreciates Vivi’s efforts in trying to make Luffy a better person, maybe it’s something that he has to make the decision by himself.
In any case, maybe she should warm up to her while the effects slowly wear off.
“Mellorine~ You can rest now and eat your lunch! Here’s your meal~”
“Araaaaa~ You don’t have to do that, Sanji! Here, you can eat half of it!”
“AHHHHHHH! SO KIND!!!!”
This headache will not go away anytime soon. Tough luck, I guess.
