September 16th Status Update

Some months back I began having problems with my computer suddenly freezing. It was completely random and (at first) very infrequent, so I couldn't narrow the cause down. I'd go weeks without a problem, so I'd figure that a Windows or driver update fixed it, but then it'd start up again. It went from happening once every week or two, to being a weekly problem, to every few days, to daily, then hourly, and now it's just dead.
I've tried re-installing Windows, I've tried taking the PC apart to clean and reseat everything, I've tried replacing some of the hardware that I thought was the point of failure, but it's all been for nothing. I'd get maybe a few days of respite after each of those things but ultimately it'd go back to constantly crashing and now not even booting.
So, I've decided that I'm going to build a new PC. My computer was roughly six years old, so it was probably time to update. Unfortunately I'm not in a place financially where I can just drop a few grand and immediately buy a new computer. Instead, I'll be buying a new part every month or so, or when I otherwise have the money.
All of my project files are on a backup drive, so I should be able to pick up right where I left off with my games once the computer is complete. Until then, though, I'm going to need something else to work on for the patreon. I have a decent laptop that I can continue to do basic work on but until I get a desktop PC with a GPU I won't be able to do any rendering.
I've come up with a few options for a project until my new PC is finish being built and I can resume regular work on Cursed and Debt.
- Option A: I continue working on Cursed and Debt but without the renders, which means updates would mostly be text. Of course, I'd go back and add the renders in the future.
- Option B: I do a sort of remaster for Cohabitation. I wouldn't be adding in any new content, I'd instead be focusing on making progression much smoother and less grindy, plus bug fixing and other mechanical changes.
- Option C: I try my hand at making a real porn HTML game. I'd use Twine for it, which since I don't have any experience with it means it'd probably end up buggy and a bit jank, but with real porn I can easily add visuals to the game without the need of a GPU. I already have a few ideas for this, which I'll discuss if this option wins.
