Totally fair question! Yes, it’s on purpose. We have to keep the movie blurred and muted for copyright reasons. We’re not legally allowed to play the full film unedited and with audio. That’s why we do the countdown at the start, so you can line it up with your own copy and still watch along with us in real time. We know it’s not everyone’s preferred way to watch, but it’s the only way we can offer full length reactions at all. Appreciate you asking!

The next movie, Batman Forever, features the late Val Kilmer as Batman/Bruce Wayne. It also introduces his sidekick, Dick Grayson/Robin. Also, the movie is less Gothic and more cartoonist in tone.

Thanks for the fun reaction! I really needed this tonight, I love how Tim Burton this one is! I remember that McDonald's planned happy meals for this but didn't know how adult the film was...Oops 🙃 I'm starting Sam's Arkham Knight reaction tomorrow. You both are the best!
