The HEAVIES are coming!
🕑 Added 2019-02-14 23:54:45 +0000 UTCWe have some really heavy slugs coming up. The Fury slug is a beast and a nice looking jacketed slug that is only $1 each (unloaded). The black powder Minie' ball is probably the heaviest projo ever fired on the channel. From Australia, Denver just sent some full bore (.730") diabolo pellet slugs. He also had a mold custom-made for some full bore round balls.
We've had a lot of rain here so it's been difficult to plan days to film. I just wanted to keep you in the loop of what is coming up and give fair warning to Danny and Gregg!

Love the channel. Sorry I can only support you with a buck a month. Could you shoot a can full of seltzer and film it in high speed? My gun club did a tin can alley shoot a while back with those, and it was great to see them explode. It'd be even better to see them explode in slow motion.

Like turbo1889, I have a heavy to offer up. I've an antique pardox mould which I use for my Pedersoli SxS rifle (along with .715" patched ball). How many would you need for a test?

I have a full bore diameter 12ga. mold that drops at just barely under 900-grains weight. It is an accurate molds #73-900S ~ <a href="http://accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=73-900S-D.png" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=73-900S-D.png</a> Actually, not technically my mold, but its in the immediate family and I have immediate access to it and already have a few cast in my stockpile. If you are really into heavies, you interested in any of them? We usually load them in 3-1/2" length shells using Alliant "Steel" powder and fire them through fully rifled slug barrels (NEF-USH with extended chambers to be specific). Anyway, if you are interested in something even heavier then the 730gr. minie-ball. Drop me a line.

Excellent! I do have a question though? Why not use a lead sled or similar for extended shooting? I understand getting a feel for the recoil, but I don't see the point in getting beat up. Or is it 50 shades of Gregg? Need some firearm themed ties?
My shoulder already hurts sympathetically for Danny and/or Gregg.
