Oh my god that is so asinine of a modification. XD

The particularly frustrating part is that the recent (2016) assault weapon law changes didn't make any changes to the penal code regarding shotguns. So, per the actual law, there's nothing that says a shotgun has to have a fixed magazine / be break action like this. The California DoJ has basically just said they don't care what the law actually says, they just wrote regulations that say, "we're going to assume they meant for the expansion of the ban to apply to shotguns too, so we're going to enforce it that way.".

I own and shoot a VR60 from RIA. Where I work, we have VR80 and a VR100 shotguns for sale in a version not legal in California. If you read the owners manual, it recommends that you don;t use light loads for the first 50 rounds. That said, having shot several hundred rounds of all the different manufacturers slugs and double 00 buck through mine,, I've never had any issues with it. Getting the last round in the 9 shot magazine is a little tough with low brass, but it's doable. I also own and shoot one of their 10MM in a heavy barrel version. Another fun one to shoot.

It seems to me like this gun shares a lot of similarities (down to details) with the turkish made Derya MK-12. The only difference that I can see is in the break action mechanism and on the stock (no pistol grip). I wouldn'n be surprised if it was made in the same factory in Turkey for Rock Island...

Well just keep your happy butts in California then and out of Ohio. We have fairly low taxes (gas is cheap) and our AR's can use a 100 round drum mag. LOL Let's hope you can vote those Commies out of office that keep putting restrictions on the ONLY amendment that says it's "for the people". I have been wanting a semi auto shotgun but I don't like standard shotgun design. Thank you guys for the videos, we do love em.
