Danny's old box of .22 Long ammo
🕑 Added 2019-08-15 20:21:20 +0000 UTCDanny surprised me the last time we got together and whipped out this old box of Sears ammo a neighbor gave him. This was made between 1932 and 1933. Sears used a few different manufacturers for their ammo and tended to change the designs of their boxes every few years, from 1927 to 1979.
thank you Patrons!!

I remember the days when you could buy ammo and guns at just about any corner convenience store...

I'm guessing the "rifles only" thing is part legalese, part marketing pitch. "These rounds are SO POWERFUL they'll blow up your gun!"

Well so much for horoscope nonsense! LOL

I was born in May actually.

Danny might have another box of these, a partial box that we can shoot.

Jeff, I'm guessing your birthday makes you a Scorpio?

Very cool. I love old guns and ammo. I've got a Colt Police Positive .38 Special made in 1909. Not a collector's item, but a nice bit of history. Still shoots, too.

Shoot maybe 4 or 5 rounds? Since there's one (shoot 4 that makes 5) round missing, it's not going to be worth a full box anyway.
