🕑 Added 2020-04-02 18:20:31 +0000 UTCAround 4 years ago we last tested the .22 pellet/Ramset experiment. I wanted to film these with the Chronos HS camera and see what was happening.
Thanks everyone! I hope you are doing well.

one of my fav vids, up there with the 12 gauge tracer and dragons breath vids. shame we don't have 22 ramset carts in the UK...for some reason :-) all our power carts are like 27 cal. Nearest we have are 22 dummy launcher blanks. HEY! why not try those is all the powers?

I have some, uh, air powered mass accelerators and the two oddball pellets you worked with. One pcp MA sends the zinc/plastic pellet at just over 900 fps. It goes through both sides of the 30 gallon steel drum (8 gauge I think) that I use to support my usual pellet catcher. It puts it within 1/2” of where I point it at that speed, 16 yards. I have a bolt action .22 MA also, but I don’t think I’ll try duplicating your experiment in my backyard.
