Rock Core 12 ga. slugs - Surprising results
🕑 Added 2020-07-10 18:27:56 +0000 UTCA viewer offered to send us these a couple years ago and recently remembered to send them to us to test out. The ends on most were not square but I left them that way to see if it affected their flight.

Probably pretty badly. If you can find a perfectly round rock that is .650" it would probably be too light to ignite the powder, and multiples of those would cause the rocks to shatter in the barrel from the g-shock.

Yeah, but can smooth rocks from a bag of gardening river pebbles be a good projectile? What size pebbles would actually be functional?
TAOFLEDERMAUS
thanks!

Probably what happened when we shot one at the ballistic gel. That's pretty soft.

We're trying to set something up this week and give her more screen time if possible.

thanks Aaron!

The gel, even at 270 deg is very viscous. Think of trying to run room temperature grease through a screen.
Bear Barre
Melt the gel block down and pour it through a screen or even just let it settle for a couple of minutes, if that's possible without the gel setting up too soon. You'll lose a lot less.

I am kind of expecting them to work pretty well. Round shot was often made of stone; Mons Meg used huge great big stone balls.

They "rocked" so much harder than I thought they would... Very bad pun I know, sorry but couldn't resist ;-P Seriously though, this was a super interesting test Super environmentally friendly slugs ^^

That was very interesting. Never thought of rocks. Should do some small pebbles along lines of double buck.

Rock Paper Scissors Guess I missed it.

Those rounds look like something Eugene would have reloaded on The Walking Dead. Loved your guest shooter and a great video overall!
Too late to get view early, too early to see publicly

Definitely think Brianna should become a regular. Expanding your demographics!

How would they effect a soft target? You could try some bore sized rocks, some buck shot sizes, some bird shot sized rocks... lots of options.

This got me thinking, do you need some diamond core'd rocks... ? Can you use a rock or two from a bag of garden river pebbles.
Next up.......frozen marshmallows fired in graham crackers
This video really Rocks!!! Yes it would be nice to see Brianna back.
