I'm not sure why they kept the velocity so low on these. They could have cranked it up a bit to 12 or 1300 fps. We haven't tested out the Steelhead slugs yet but I think they are the same ones you are referring too.

Jeff and OG - A very cool video - and the balloon thing is a scream. These are reliable factory "wax" slugs. And what an effective wad design - low recoil and very effective in the short range home defense role. Would cause horrible wounding in some hunting situations though. There was a time when some cops were at the range shooting DDuplex slugs - made out of pellet shaped steel with polymer driving bands - the Europeans are way way ahead of us in shotgun slug technology. And our ammo companies have ignored all of that to their discredit. Those Kaviar slugs and wads are truly amazing. Wish we could get those wads over here. Best Regards, Steve

Lol, I think I watch too much Adam 12.

I did not expect this round to annihilate the pork shoulder the way it did, very 'impressive' result. It might not over-penetrate, but you're left with a lot of cleaning up if you shoot an intruder with this hahaha. Thank you for the video, and a good weekend to everyone

Absolutely right. If a perp is on "goofballs" and feeling no pain, this might not be an immediate fight-stopper. Goofballs? I haven't heard that since I was a hop head.
