We were having pressure spikes due to the heat, causing the gas seal to blow out and cooking the rest of the wad. As it got hotter the effect got worse.

Wonder if the heat was softening the sabot, or perhaps even reducing clearance

Seemed like it was literally cooking the sabot with friction....thinking a second go with a better powder maby faster burning would help....also agree on trying a different discarding Sabot
