Some tubes whine, some do not

Dude, I have L3 UF & Elbit TF tubes, and have never heard the whine. Both systems cant be malfunctioning? Reason I ask, is that I have never had either tube(s) dim or make any noise. Are the newest Elbit/H3 tubes so quiet that you cant hear the autogating?
