Colors...hmm... This pony seems to be a robot so I think you should base the colors on the context/story of that character. What is the setting? =>Modern world, scy-fi or even steam punk? Is it intelligent/sentient/sapient? Who designed/built it? =>Ambitious hobby engineer, professional corporate engineer, crazy scientist For what purpose? =>Toy, Service/household, heavy duty/construction work, military, dedicated sex bot How was it built? =>One of a kind prototype, assembly line, hack-job in a garage From what materials? =>Metal, plastic, wood maybe? I personally like the following: Model A: A robot produced in small series for work in difficult to navigate environments (Four legs! Hooves!). =>Warning colors like bright yellow or orange for the outer shell =>Black and yellow warning stripes (in moderation) =>Black for accents/specific parts =>Warning label "CAUTION HOT!" on the butt :) Maybe the "fun parts" were retrofitted later as an inofficial modification =>dark/warm gray for suptlety =>pink for drawing attention Model B: Dedicated sex bot. These are designed to draw attention and to guide that to the business end. =>Red shell =>Suptle dark gray/black or shiny chrome accents =>Pink genitals (or dark again if the color would not fit otherwise) =>(Someone mentioned glowing parts. Glow in the dark stuff?)

I think natural colors, like a chestnut or a tan-ish color, could really help accentuate the mechanical parts ;P

i always like black as the main and either glowing silver or glowing gold. if you do dark blue as main then glowing purple would be a nice pairing i think.
