I feel like there needs to be a Part 2 where Terry sets the record straight. Drew wasn't fired, he had already put in his notice and when he got sat with Poppy and River he asked Terry for permission to go off if she pulled a 'Poppy' and it would be fine because Terry could placate Poppy by saying he was fired. Trouble is... seeing someone 'fired' just empowered Poppy to keep right on acting like she does.

I think the point of Drew the Server was mostly to act as a comedic straight man reacting to crazy co-workers and regulars and a newbie who could have stuff explained to him, basically an audience surrogate. I get the feeling they realized it wasn't that nessesary to have him when Aaron and Brad could split those roles amongst each other (Aaron as the clueless one, Brad as the comedic straight man. Trick also sometimes fills Aaron's role, as a newbie), so he got phased out.
