I am curious as to who Joey is based on, irl. He has such lack of self awareness and finds almost zero value in any social contract. A person like that is great in a cartoon but a burden in life. And everyone who has to share space with them gets so ground down by their negativity, any modicum of positivity or insight seems like a really big deal. I'm too invested in these characters to find any humor here. Joey is an absolute villain.
