I very much hope that you're already familiar with the 'For The Empire' series - the episode starting Season 2 is quite pertinent to the discussion at hand! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5kavKsPZ20&list=PLxJr4XsTcWljTxufEaW_3X1VY_eqjuLgi&index=10

Yep, already knew this since Star Wars is my main Geek. But I appreciate the video nonetheless.

My favorite stormtrooper (convention based Origins in Columbus, Ohio) was about thigh high and wore a pink tinted armor. She ran across another white costumed storm trooper who was happy to take photos with her and knelt down to be on her level as they talked. I bet that's one of her favorite memories to this day. That con was one of mine despite the dog pile of people sleeping in a spare room on blankets to attend! That's the convention I got to meet Peter/Chewie. Yes, he really is that tall. I'm 5'4 so I had to look up and up at him. I didn't ask for an autograph but I did ask for a photo which he gave with a slightly silly face. I was the only one at his table at that time so I got super lucky!

Microphone attached to a blade was a nice touch.

I thought the uniform changed because time (as in actual armies), rather than who was wearing them. I appreciate being less pop-culturally-challenged now!

As a SW fan from the beginning I enjoyed this. Stormtrooper are also good shots when they're not ordered to miss but if you say that publicly at least half the comments will be arguing the point. Good for the algorithm, terrible for mental health.

While Technically not-cannon (it's fan fiction, but very high quality fan fiction, some of it was filmed in 'the volume'), "Bucketheads" has a 'hero' female StormTrooper character. (Hero character in this context meaning a main character with speaking role, not an extra) - That character being Sergeant Nomi Coven.

There's a fun article in East Idaho News about the time they surprised a kid battling cancer by showing up as Secret Santas, in full snow stormtrooper uniform :)

Awesome :) I have a friend who is a woman who does cosplay and charity/volunteer work with the 501st Imperial Legion stormtrooper group. Good folks, glad to hear there is in universe examples of women in the ranks. Can't wait to share this with her when this goes public :)
