Honkai Star Rail Modding - Very Early WIP Stuff
🕑 Added 2023-05-03 06:59:02 +0000 UTCSo I've been playing Honkai Star Rail a lot... I suspect many of you have too! I'm liking it a lot more then my initial impressions - the start is a bit rough, but the game continues to get better as you go in as the charms win you over and the things it lack (good exploration movement) starts to bother you less.
At this point, I'm just logging in to do dailies and resin on Genshin - I expect that'll change once the new game buzz wears off with Honkai, but still, it's a very competent game, and very importantly, the quality of life improvements are fantastic. The dailies and grinding is super streamlined. It's hard to not want these improvements to the Hoyo gacha formula in its bigger brother Genshin!
Anyway, currently, some basic super alpha version of Honkai Star Rail modding is possible (no support will be provided from me or the tool makers right now if you attempt it). There are a number of bugs and very severe limitations to mesh modding, but we can now do texture edits and mesh edits - so long as the vertices on the new mesh is less or equal to the number of verts on the old mesh!
I plan on making a 'lite' nude base body of the ladies... but their sizes and proportions vary quite a lot between characters (which is great - but means more work for us as modders), so it'll be interesting to see how well that goes - and when I get that working, will share with you all!

Silent is sick right now... I expect that he'll work on it at some point - but expect an official release in a matter of months then weeks given his overall business. In the mean time, this is simply all work in progress alpha stuff.

will silent be editing the tool to support/run the mods on star rail, and will it be downloadable on gamebanana? im still confused on what the process of using them would be like

She honestly does, I think this is why I like the character design for HSR so much more then Genshin. Actual proportions. But as a lover of big boobas, E cup Himeko is a dream XD

Himeko already has some very nicely sized tits TBH! Given the limitations of current HSR modding, the simple reality is - the bigger tits are the blockier they get. I can't really add more polys to smooth them out, so at least for now, HSR modded characters will mostly resemble their canon proportions! Trailblazer will get bigger blockier tits tho!

Nice. Im looking forward to some more HSR mods in the future. Im not saying Himeko needs bigger tits, but she deserves bigger tits

It depends on how the mods are received. It's never been my intention to be exclusive to Genshin modding. I'll continue to explore modding for other games as they come out. I think Star Rail is an easy choice to spend some time with because it's also popular among Genshin players though, and because there aren't any Star Rail mods yet!

Great Progress! I gave it another try and my initial impression changed quite a bit . I mean still the high Sci-fi weapons and clothing aren't my taste but for that mods will exist i guess :P. Got Clara and Bailu already and i love them... especially Claras robot! Hoping for lewd mods atleast for Clara (Bailu not so much *concerned eyes* but alt outfits would still be nice).

Right now it's just using GIMI v7, but pointed at starrail.exe instead of genshinimpact. I'll do a mini tutorial when I release my first mod.

oh i know is still in really really early/alpha version (and is very obvious from the pics XD ) but i thought it would take more time to even make it work i am really surprised tho So im guessing the modding will be the same as Genshin? or a 3DMigoto honkai Star Rail version will be released once the mods for the game are 100% ready to go?
