General Progress - October 11th
🕑 Added 2017-10-11 21:11:26 +0000 UTC Hi!For the upcoming picture series of Summer Widow and Summer Mercy I have three poses with eight pictures so far. It's going to be a few more, I think, before I move on to background and rendering.
The Summer Widow PoV riding animation is coming along. Got two base loops finished ... some up&down motion and a hip-gyro motion. I'll build the rest of the animation out of these two loops.
I switched from Maya 2016 to Maya 2018 this weekend cause it had some tasty new animation tools. Or so I thought. I decided writing this post after I wrote a rant about it, so I'll just paste it below:

I'm going back to my tried and tested workflow. At least that's a devil I know. I'm going to stay with Maya 2018 for now, but these new tools are completely and utterly useless.
Wasted two days trying to find out where they hid some basic functionality only to find out that they those don't exist. Stuff so basic that it didn't even occur to me that those could possibly be missing.
Today I bit the bullet and went on with the animation anyway only to find out that you can't layer clips. I laughed as I deleted the scene ...
Just wanted to let you know what the holdup is about. I should have another animation WiP ready by tomorrow.
