TV rules were very weird back in the day. In addition to couples not being allowed to sleep in the same bed, pregnancy & showing toilets on screen were banned π

Hey Matty! Episode 1 is based on βThe Dick Van Dyke Showβ from the 1960βs. During that time, couples were not shown in bed together on television. Episode 2 is based on βBewitchedβ where the wife is a witch and the husband is an ad exec. The show ran from the β60 to the 70βs, and was the first tv program to show a couple in bed together. I can see why you thought it was inspired by The Jetsons β the animated series is also from the 1960βs and Bewitchedβs opening credits featured similar animations.
