I'd like to know more about the way you used the PCIe lanes. The 2 video cards are almost certainly on the CPU lanes but which slot did you use for the Optane drive?
Don't suppose you'll be giving that Optane drive a full review? I'd be curious to know how it performs for general purpose filesystem tasks, when serving as a front-end block device cache (e.g., ZFS L2ARC, Linux bcache, etc.), and when used as a swap device.
Well considering how much Threadripper costs, I want it up close and personal so I can stare at it . Getting the most out of it for the buck. It also makes friends jaws drop when the witness the monster....
