Last steps before release
🕑 Added 2025-10-13 11:04:04 +0000 UTCI'd like to start by saying that Chapter 1 is completely ready for release — I actually finished it last Saturday.
However, the problem is that I can’t make everything perfect right away — and that mostly has to do with the text.
To keep it short:
I made some changes to the code and added the Chapter 1 into the script, which probably requires players to start the game from the beginning. And to make it possible to skip the prologue for those, who have already read it, I edited a label — long story short, my entire Russian translation broke and became «invalid».
That’s just how translations work in Ren’Py — you change something important like label in the main script? Be so kind as to add the translation from scratch~
Or maybe I’m missing something?
Anyway, that made me realize it would be better to make the Russian version separately, so I can have full control over both of them to fix small mistakes and typos, without worrying that I’ll have to re-add the whole translation from scratch — which already takes quite a lot of time.
And it’ll only get harder and longer in the future, considering that Chapter 1 alone already has around 7–8K words and it took me about 2–3 days to translate and correct it.
I’m not sure how many Russian-speaking followers I have here, but unfortunately, the Russian translation of Chapter 1 won’t be available just yet — though it will be eventually. Just not now.
I hope you understand.
Today I’ll be removing the translation from the script and fixing a few other things, then I’ll prepare everything for release — definitely this week, unless something unexpected happens.
And sorry to keep you waiting so long.
I understand that it could have taken me 2 times less time if only I had better circumstances irl.
