*ps-- there was an issue with my audio this time where it like clips and sometimes the middle of my word is cut out. So, if I sound a bit like a dysfunctional robot every now and then, I am so sorry. Also, my cat, Tara, was screaming outside my door for a bit bc she loves my office window and was locked out. If anyone speaks cat, let me know all the insults she threw my way during that section. π

the time jump between the end of winter and beginning of body makes me so anxious. i know that the heartstopper universe largely disregards the events of solitaire but ESPECIALLY in the scene of charlie and nickβs fight i cannot not think about how the events of that night unfold in the novelβ¦ like, what we learn about charlieβs compulsions beyond the self harm shook me (trying to be super vague for those that havenβt read solitaire) and also the ben of it allβ¦ i am maybe slightly traumatized

i googled it (like iβm sure nick nelson did later- because one thing about nick, heβs going to google) - This joke plays on the historical fact that one of the oldest known written customer complaints is a Mesopotamian clay tablet where a man named Nanni accuses a merchant named Ea-nasir of delivering poor quality copper ingots, essentially meaning that if you need reliable copper, you can't trust a Mesopotamian source due to their history of subpar metal quality as documented in this ancient complaint
