Livestream + Process Vid: Character Design Master Studies!
🕑 Added 2022-04-27 01:29:31 +0000 UTCHowdy Residents! Thanks for joining last week's livestreams!
I had seriously fulfilling time doing studies of Yzma from Emperor's New Groove and Milo from Atlantis on Procreate. Anytime I do Master Studies from animated characters ( or anytime at all really,) I feel like I learn so so much about design and illustration. And it's so fun! We'll definitely have to do it again.
Here's my two final studies, each took about 1.5 hours:
ALSO: Art Town Townie Carli joined the Master Study fun by doing some studies of ferns and ladybugs from a very cool graphic-design-y illustrated book. Local Legend Francesca shared her awesome WIP of a springtime cat laying amongst the flowers, Thanks for sharing, Carli and Francesca!
You can check those out in the #gallery-wall channel of the Discord.

(And a reminder, you're always welcome to post any work you make this week and want shared on the next stream in the #gallery-wall channel on the Art Town Discord!)

Place: Twitch.tv/Ragonia_ + the Art Town Discord
Prompt: You voted, and the winner is... Portrait/face practice! I'll put up a reference image for 5 minutes to draw from, then take the reference down to push the shapes further for another 5 minutes. I hope the practice will help us improve our ability to represent different faces quickly and stylistic-ly!
Bring your tablet, or pencil and paper, and let's practice drawing faces together! Or you can just watch me and enjoy!
See you then!
