It is 100% winging it most of the time. When I'm at home, I do airplay on my laptop, but this was in a hotel room and very much just... hope for the best.

How do you line up your shots? Do you place an object in the center of the frame, so you get an idea of where you need to be in the shot, or do you have some kind of monitor that allows you to see what you'll look like once the timer goes off? Or, better still, are you just winging it? Whatever the case is, your instincts, when it comes to photographing yourself, seems to be spot on! Nice job, sir.

bondagetape is static adhisiv and doesnt stick on skin. its quite good for some costumes too^^. And i may be mistaken, but didn't you have body hair... and duct tape...tztztz
