I started making meat-based dishes like pasta sauce etc with Impossible or Beyond meat. I hardly can tell the difference and I feel much better about it.

I’ve been a vegetarian(not strict vegan. Like maybe 70%) for about 20 years, my Thanksgiving item has been Mac and Cheese. I spare no expenses and make it lush AF.

Not everything has to have butter. We have a vegan at the Thanksgiving table who eats fairly well. Vegan sweet potato casserole. Vegan stuffing. A non-gelatin cranberry sauce. She has tofu. I bring a charred cabbage and cauliflower salad that's a nice change from standard fare and vegan. It's the old fogies who never want to try anything new and want to make stuff the same every year .
