Yes, sir... I was a teen in the early 80s, but I remember my mom had an old copy of that Cosmo with Burt on it. Of course, I later graduated on to other publications (Playgirl, anyone?), but nothing could ever reach the iconic status of Mr. Reynolds' pose (the only thing that comes close for me, IMHO, is the one Paul Rudd did a few years back that was so artistically tasteful and yet sexy). Kyle has that "something" that seems to be more than "sexiness"... He is, to me, artistically, photographically beautiful.

I assume that you're referring to the famous photo spread of Burt Reynolds lounging nude on a bearskin rug? You aren't dating yourself at all, I was born in the '80's and I've heard of that Cosmo centerfold. It was quite a big deal that a nude man would be photographed for a respectable magazine, let alone a male celebrity like Burt Reynolds in his 70's heyday! Sometimes Kyle's pictures will remind me of a celebrated nude from art history, but no one would say that I must be from Renaissance Italy in order to make that reference. So please don't apologize for knowing history! The world would be a better place if more people had curiosity about the past and watched black and white movies, read classic novels, learned about ancient civilizations, and knew about people who came before us. God, only I could turn the comments section under a sexy picture into a speech about the importance of humanities education and not being too self critical.
