I was going to say "Red Sonja", but I think her relevance dwindled after the whole "Conan the Barbarian" thing peaked in the 80s...Still, you wouldn't be wearing much! But I think your fan base is leaning heavily into your suggestion of Dark Magic Girl so I will vote with the masses in the end.

If you're looking for iconic costumes to use for inspiration, I think that Power Girl and her boob window jumps to mind as a gratuitously revealing super suit ripe for a creative Genderbent cosplay. I'm not as familiar with Dark Magician Girl however. I'm guessing that she's a Yu Gi Oh card? At the end of the day you are the one making and wearing this, so you choose what you are passionate about creating!
