Tell Rick that during June, the cave was thought by everyone, including authorities and locals, to be perfectly safe. June is when the team entered the cave. The fact that they got stuck was a freak accident that could have happened to anyone. Spelunking is inherently dangerous like many activities that people of all ages engage in. The coach was in fact heroic in that he taught the kids how to meditate in order to avoid going insane while trapped underground, didn't eat for 9 days so that the kids could eat the little food they had with them, and taught them other tactics to survival like how to get fresher water from the cave ceiling.

Does anyone remember when Tila Tequila made her first appearance on a reality show with Ted Nugent? These contestants were only told they'll be going to the home of a Michigan musician. They all thought it would be either Kid Rock or Eminem. They all dressed like posers, wearing a little of rock or rap attire just to be safe. Only to get out of the limo and see Ted Nugent and in the middle of bumfuck Michigan woods. It was great.
