we will be sharing a little video with this soon, along with your mp3 download, and hopefully some words about what the song means to us. in the mean time, i hope you enjoy the new song and find your own meanings :)

when the smoke clears
(lyrics)
time is all we ever wanted in this life
we glue ourselves together every night
a star upon a rock against the tide
try to separate the body from the mind
we fall apart in ways we never like
we move the frame until we are the sky
we're gonna be the last ones standing
much better for the hard-earned landing
if we're a part of everything
then all is as it ought to be
we're gonna be the last ones standing
home is only an illusion of the soul
we fool ourselves to think we have control
as if there were another way to go
we're gonna be the last ones standing
much better for the hard-earned landing
if we're a part of everything
then all is as it ought to be
we're gonna be the last ones standing
when the smoke clears

Hey Kina, I don't do Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or any other version of social media other than email and YouTube. I'm OLD! So forgive me. I'll wait for the YouTube link, but am sure I will totally love it! I love every song you sing!
So very true!

the nice thing about this kind of tiered release is spreading the crying out, thanks for that 🙏🙌🙏
Beautiful!! I always love hearing you two on tracks together. The line - “home is only an illusion of the soul” - is my favorite. 💚 -LK
