The Solstice Vale – Setting
🕑 Added 2024-03-16 03:49:48 +0000 UTCThis one is late, but in my defense, it's ten freakin pages, which was not my original intention! I just had a lot to write and share about this setting.
The veil between the mortal realm and the realm of the fey is particularly thin in this strange valley nestled in the Whispering Peaks. Twice a year, on the longest day of the year and the longest night, that veil disappears altogether and the kingdom of Tirianor is temporarily plunged into the fey realm. The people of the Solstice Vale celebrate this planar phenomenon with raucous festivals: The summer and winter revels. But beware, because mortals are never truly safe in the lands of the fey...
This PDF bundle is free for Di-votee Patrons and available for individual purchase for anybody else who wants to check it out!
The Solstice Vale is where Princess Kiliren and Bryndis, the captain of her guard, live. You don't need the Kiliren and Bryndis PDFs to use this setting PDF, but it does help add some depth to those characters!
I also think Courtly Characters would be a great complement to this PDF, particularly if you plan to have your players spend more than a session or two bopping around the royal court.

Oh my gosh! I had just started working on a one shot for my friends and wanted to have both the fey realm and the mortal realm

I feel like we canonize stuff in Discord and on streams all the time that I never write down, and thus promptly forget 😂

Here I was thinking “man, could really use that setting PDF.” And boom, seconds later it’s out. Can’t make that shit up

Wait, doesn't Temper live there too? I thought we canonized that Temper made Bryndis' sword (or am I mixing up characters)
