The Little Car That Should've But Didn't (Downloadable Abandoned Game)
🕑 Added 2022-10-24 14:00:15 +0000 UTCDecided to go back and polish up the unfinished build of The Little Car That Should've But Didn't. This was a game that was being worked on all the way back before Around the Clock began development! This was meant to be a much longer story driven horror game, but all I had completed at the time was half of the first section, so I went ahead and polished/finished up the first zone, voiced acted and made it all playable. Hope you enjoy this little tech demo, should be very quick to beat, roughly a few minutes once you figure out what to do and how and to avoid the enemy. I plan on releasing the unfinished build of Nitem's Void next, just wanna make the game relatively playable first before I drop it. Might release it here on Patreon next month, since things are gonna be a little quiet for awhile while I hunker down on Vex Clock and Scooby Horror: Arcade's One Year Anniversary update.
Story: The Little Car's grandfather is bedridden and running low on gas. Little Car was supposed to pick up a gas can from the station for his grandfather, but didn't feel like it at the time. Now his parents are very upset, cause his grandfather's on the brink of death. As punishment, you were sent to Wrecka's junkyard to steal one of his gas cans. "If you can't afford to visit the station and pay for a gas can, then go steal one from Wrecka." They said. They're assholes by the way.
Controls: W,S,A,D to move, Tab to switch to first/third person, Z to flip over your car (tho it seems most of the time it doesn't work, old game bug I couldn't seem to fix, lol), Escape to close out of the game.
