An Update For Which Full Games Will Be Released For Patrons
🕑 Added 2022-11-10 13:44:05 +0000 UTCHowdy y'all! Thought I'd give a bit of an update while it's still early about which full games I'll be releasing here for Patrons and which games I'll exclude.
Back in the past, I mentioned how paid games will be released free of charge for patrons. This has always been something I wanted to do to incentivize people to subscribe to my Patreon, apart from the exclusive games. However, I've recently noticed that if I release full games (Vex Clock, etc) onto Patreon, people will just be coming over to subscribe for $5 bucks to avoid the higher price of admission on Steam and get other games in the process. While that sounds really nice, unfortunately I'll be taking a major financial loss this way. To combat this, I plan on excluding bigger releases from being added to the patron games list, such as Vex Clock, Microwave Waifu Dating Sim, etc.
But what about certain patron games that get added to platforms such as Itchio or Steam? Well, for games like Dave.EXE that get added to Steam eventually, I do want to drop keys for it for all $5 tier patrons to claim when it releases. After all, it only seems right since it was originally a patron game! Y'all deserve the full ass game on release.
TLDR: Games that are priced $10 and above will not be added to Patreon. Patron games that are released to the public, regardless of price, will have keys given out to $5 tier patrons at launch.
