However when I saw that some of you seemed to get the impression that Sooch was naive/clueless about sex, rather than a guy whose views of sex (and related vocabulary) are shaped by hetero cultural norms, I wanted to step in and clear that up. I was v overstimulated last week and went on quite the rant 😂 Thank you for saying such nice things last week.

I really like the way you show Sooch‘s growing love and amazement for Howie. His subtle looks and how he always tries to touch him, I personally can really relate to this and it makes me think of my own relationship. Just wanted to share this

I think the drive by “I love yous” are purposeful on Howie’s part and encompass many reasons: he wants Sooch to always hear it from him so he doesn’t have to wonder; he wants it be normalized language between them; he doesn’t want Sooch to feel pressured to say it before he’s ready; he’s a tiny bit afraid of actually seeing any tiny hesitation in Sooch’s response and breaking his own heart by accident EVEN THOUGH HE KNOWS Sooch cares for him deeply. Anyway I dig it. At some point Howie’s gonna attempt to run away post ILY declaration and Sooch is gonna YOINK him back and declare he loves him too and Howie will combust. It will be glorious.
