Mainly because of their prophecy about the drone commander - though their ancient prophecy was when they were fighting ant and bee drones (not actual mechanical ones). Still it's become a low-level religion for some of them.
Dealing with her will be so much easier than Kira of the Sekarri or Cynthia of the dragon people.
