But displays a bizare combination of intelligence, promiscuity and naivety. However, she holds true to the ancient ways. She believes that the humans, most notably a single individual is the return the drone commander and wll elevate her people to greatness.
The Drone commander was a legendary small male spider (back when the males had no rights and were supressed by the larger females.) The Drone Commander Ilixius, helped turn the tide of war against, flying, fire breathing dragon hornets. These dragon hornets, torched their cities, and feasted on their young.
Most Mirelexian cities back then were in forests so stood no chance against them - spiders were generally claustrophobic and retreating into the soil was a last, last resort. Still, they had no choice -when their numbers had been whittled down to 3%. The end of intelligent beings on Mirelexia was a real possibility. Ilixius, a reluctant warrior and more of a scholar, realised that by cultivating certain bacteria and parasites, he could infect the 10 foot hornets and eventually control them into a flying zombie army.
The problem however, there were no warriors or willing spiders left to put his theory into practice. Ilixius, found himself pushing the fight himself, not before grovelling to the semi-sentient Maglydites (walking jellyfish) to become pilots for the dragon hornets. Little by little, he scraped up enough volunteers, assets to mount an attack force. Within 5 years, they had chased down every dragon hornet queen’s layer, and burned them in their nests. All of this warfare, strategy and tactics was managed and orchestrated by Ilixius – the Drone Commander.
Today, the dragon hornets are domesticated animals, used to Ferry the Mirelexians about like personal helicopters. Their fire breathing abilities help with various domestic tasks.

Depending on differences in orbit, a Mirelexian year does not necessarily equal a year on earth. I wonder what the time conversion would be between our two planets.

I love the lore, kinda reminds me of what the mandolorians did to a sentient race of dragons. But cute traditional spider waifu? Yes please!
