I started to write a "quick thought" about depression that I wanted to share with you all, but that quick thought started to turn into something very long and heavy. I don't know how many of you write, but I sometimes have a problem where I clumsily pile more and more words onto a piece until the whole thing collapses under its own weight. The essence of what I wanted to say was this:
For those of you who suffer from depression, I don't want you to ever punish yourself with the thought that you're "back to square one" when you experience a relapse. This is a condition that, at its very worst, people do not survive. Simply making it through the day (or the hour, or the minute) is progress. That progress can't be taken away from you. Every bout of depression that you've made it through has been an accomplishment. Though there may be many more battles—and although those battles may be just as hard as the ones that came before—that doesn't take away even one of your victories from before.
This may speak to you, and it may not. If it doesn't, maybe you can keep it in your back pocket in case it's ever relevant for you or someone you care about.

Obviously, I'm late to this thread. I will consider your thoughts on depression as something else to sustain me in hard times. For now, I realize that I continue on pretty much because other people don't want me to leave. Neither do the two rabbits who live in my house. I wish you well on your journey through this time, and thank you for the videos
