🕑 Added 2024-03-27 13:53:02 +0000 UTCMarch is coming to an end, the new HC2 update is almost ready, and here's what you can expect next month
First and a huge quality of life update: You can now see which enemies have their spawn increased directly on the map selection screen, similarly, the current area's boss will also be displayed at its appropriate time.
Keep in mind that enemies with increased spawn will not necessarily be encountered every time the area is explored. Having the spawn rate increased means that their rate is set to 50%, so you may encounter someone else. The exception to this rule is if you have the Stalker trait, which increases the rate of these enemies to 100%
The game will also alert you when the potion lab is ready to be discovered.
Potion lab now have priority over bosses, if the next encounter is a potion lab and you are in a boss time window, exploring will 100% lead you to the alchemy lab. Be careful with this, as you can miss the boss on that day if you don't plan it in advance.
Enemy types were full implemented (Although not all enemies have unique types yet). You can check the type of enemy you are facing on your profile page, the information will also be visible at the beginning of the encounter.
Be extra careful with enemy types, especially if your hero is weak to their type AND their attacks, facing an enemy in which you have weakness in both can go really, really wrong.
Addiciton and Corruption resistance have been tweaked slightly. With the new formula, the more CON the hero has, the lower the resistance gain will be. This won't make much of a difference in the early game, but you'll need a lot more CON to reach 99% resistance, especially in Addiction Resistance.
To accompany this change and provide more clarity to current substats, decimal numbers have been added to the stats screen, giving a better idea of how much is left for each substat to go up.
A new 3 stars area was added: The Coast, and along with it, two new girls: Teresa, who is already present in the Live version and Kate, a new boss that should be added to the Live version tomorrow.
Additionally, new traits, both positive and negative, will be present and can be unlocked for the initial trait pool. These new traits are related to the enemy types mentioned above
Version 0.90 of Hero Corruption 2 is scheduled to be released on April 3rd, a week from now.

Hey Aaron, Sure, I'll try to add more images, whether in the tavern or in dreams. In fact, in this same update I planned on adding Kate to the tavern along with a new set of girls, but I ended up investing more time in developing the new enemies than what was expected.

Loving the QoL updates as always, very innovative stuff! I know this is something I've mentioned before, but I feel the need to bring it up again: I'd love to have more girls added each update. Even if it's just in dreams and at the tavern. The current content is starting to get really stale. I understand enemies require more time and effort, but I think supplementing new girls to dreams and the tavern each update would really help fill that void. For waiting 30 days, it would be really nice to have more than 2 or 3 new girls each update. In fact, I think dedicating an entire month to adding new girls and events would greatly improve the gameplay. I'm so glad you've implemented these new mechanics, as they really enhance the experience. But now it feels like we have this really well built game, that's just lacking content. Also, if you could make the dream images not disappear automatically, but instead allow the player to click/spacebar out of them, that'd be great! :)

That's exactly what I was talking about 😅 Sigrid is one of the worst enemies to let that happen, as her encounter is basically enduring attacks

Ooh I love the sound of the quality of life changes you're adding to the map selection! I've thoughtlessly clicked on a boss when I just wanted a potion so many times lol. I'm really liking the way enemy types are playing out! I unknowingly made myself terribly weak to Sigrid, so I lost to her after being able to beat Celeste and Lucy n Angel. I'm looking forward to the new boss!
