🕑 Added 2022-12-08 19:27:38 +0000 UTCThis is kind of a weird one! Haha... so there's an insert-shot in W2H2 of an illustrated diagram, and in my boards it was just stick figures 'cause I hadn't designed what it should look like yet!
So I decided to go for a 70s vibe? Like Schoolhouse Rock, or those indie animated segments on oldschool Sesame Street, or like... I don't know, that old Tootsie Pop commercial with the owl??? Anyway the characters in the diagram weren't initially going to look like Sock and Jonathan, but I thought "fuck it".
Sock's really hard to translate into older styles (like this rubber hose one I did awhile back!) because his whole outfit is just needlessly complicated bullshit stacked on top of each other, and a made-up early-2000s gaiaonline weeaboo hat. So that's always a fun challenge!
I wish I had saved the sketches leading up to the final design, that would've been fun to see... but I guess I just yeeted them when I was cleaning up the file... ooooops.
