[!] Game Update 2025-04

I think I should update u all about the RPG Maker Possession game I'm working on.
I'll try and organize this a bit:
- Story
I do have an idea for the story and world building, but I encountered few problems. I'm not sure about story progression. I want the player to be able to possess as many characters as they want, which in return adds tons of possible choices the players can make during a playthrough. That's kinda unrealistic and will be hard to achieve.
- Gameplay
Possession is of course the main aspect of the game, but since it's also an RPG, I need to think about Combat and how possession plays into that. If I add too many characters to the mix, people can choose from so many options that it will be hard to balance and it will be hard to guarantee unique characters from a gameplay perspective. I'm also not sure about which combat system I should use. There are tons of options, from STB (Persona) to ATB (Final Fantasy 13), even old dungeon crawlers with team based turns are possible.
- Plugins
First of all, I searched a lot for plugins that would help improve the quality for the game and I experimented a bit here and there and I encountered some problems here and there. It was quite annoying to find a plugin that does what I want, but then it has a conflict with another plugin and breaks :(. I found a good bundle of plugins that enhance RPG Maker to unimaginable degrees. I do think these plugins are a MUST Have for a good game, but they cost money. That one bundle alone costs $100. Because of that I actually need support for that :/

Also, for clarification, I currently have my normal projects as my priority, then I have this RPG Maker Possession project that I'm working on and then there is the Visual Novel project I announced a few weeks ago which I'm working on with another creator.
I want to add here, new 3D Comic releases coming this week, so stay tuned for that.
(I'll make a more indepth post later this month, explaining a lot more about what is going on behind the scenes and what my plans are.)

As long as it's not a grind fest, and the possession theme isn't just simply "increase stats when you get this new body so you can progress", I think it will be an enjoyable RPG. Number of options and dialogs may increase exponentially when you add more and more characters, so maybe you could limit the number of unique dialogs/event to specific characters/roles/groups. Looking forward to see more about this game!
