The sound of metal and anvil were all Aegon had heard for days, he had spent an absurd amount of hours in this room
His dear Elisif had assigned the basement of the Blue Palace to his personal use, and Aegon had made extensive use of the place
What was once an old basement, full of cobwebs and broken furniture was transformed into the Winter Lord's personal workshop, the furniture had given way to huge work tables, all with the personal projects that the young Wolf was researching
Dwemer machinery everywhere, huge piles of bones and scales from dragons defeated in battle, ancient Norse weapons and armor recovered from raids on Norse barrows, books of sorcery, and ancient chronicles of the continent's history
In this place, Aegon had each and every one of his projects, from the small ones, such as his new mechanical assistant, a combination of a Dwemer spider with an enchanted chest, a mechanical servant that can be summoned everywhere, really useful to upgrade his fortune and resources
Even the really impressive ones, such as the swords he had forge, or better yet, his most ambitious project so far
The Bronze Lord project, he thought proudly as he raised his head to the top of the basement, seeing the immense scale of what would one day be Sydonis
His own mechanical Dovah, Aegon thought with a soft smile
The idea was... Technically simple, using dragon bones as support, they were heavy, virtually indestructible, and reacted favorably to magic, channeling it with extraordinary ease
Then it was to put all the Dwemer metal he'd been hoarding like a rabid raccoon, melt it all down, and create enchanted metal strings, not to be sturdier or lighter, but to make them work in a specific way

"Do you continue with your fantasies, my love?" asked Ciri, who entered the workshop, to Aegon's surprise, with an elegant blue robe, adjusted to her beautiful and feminine body, the silver lioness wiggled her delicious hips to where her husband was
Aegon smiled at the perfection he had the pleasure of calling wife and spoke
"You're just in time, look," Aegon said, as he channeled lightning through the cable, watching with great pleasure as the cable seemed to move by itself from side to side, although without an apparent direction
A few seconds later, Aegon finished the spell and looked at Ciri with a huge smile, her face full of emotion
“ IT WORKS!!! DAMN IT, IT WORKS!!!” Aegon said, really excited by such a significant advance
Ciri smiled at her husband, though it was evident that she didn't fully understand what was going on
“Congratulations Jon! Ah, what did you achieve?” asked the lioness curiously, not understanding the importance of a metal rope to be honest
Aegon just shook his head and said
"I managed to make it work with arcane impulses; it is a great advance for my project" said the young sorcerer pleased
Ciri looked at him in confusion and spoke
“I don't understand my love, why is a metal rope so important for your project?” he asked with curiosity and doubt in his voice, not really seeing the usefulness of such an experiment
Aegon just shook his head and replied
“Only one is not relevant my love, however... many together..." Aegon didn't answer, but his hand lit up with an orange glow, indicating that the telekinesis spell was active
Quickly, a large number of wires just like the one Aegon had tried flew up to Sydonis, braiding and tightening around the dragon bones that Aemon had used for support, forming a kind of arcane mechanical muscle, and when the young sorcerer channeled his magic through the fiber...

"Thank you, my love," she said with a huge smile, which Ciri responded with one of her own, before focusing her gaze on the imposing figure of the mechanical dragon
"You plan to make it alive, right?" asked the lioness, although they both knew that the question was rhetorical, it was evident that Aegon would ride Sydonis as soon as it was finished
Nodding, the young sorcerer replied
"That's the idea, although the most complicated parts still elude me, I need a totally pure arcane metal to forge the brain, the one in charge of sending magic to the entire body, in addition to finding a gem big enough to create a magical heart, capable of supporting that," Aegon said, pointing to a huge crystal sphere, filled with what looked like a bright blue liquid
Curiously, Ciri walked over to the interesting container and spoke
"What is this?" she asked, raising a finger and touching the glass gently, opening her eyes enormously when she saw how the subtlest of stimuli caused the liquid to boil inside, being contained by clusters of runes around the container
"This is an alchemical component of my creation, created from dragon blood, Daedra hearts, and red Nirn roots, extremely powerful, and therefore extremely volatile, it has the ability to saturate itself with magic, the idea is that it is the blood of Sydonis, saturating his body with magic in the same way that our blood does with our body," Aegon said, proud of his project
Ciri just stared at the huge container before shaking her head
"You are a madman with the power to bend reality at the tips of his fingers my love, you know that, if you manage to create this and it works, it will make you the most powerful person in Tamriel, right? “Forged with ebony and bleeding malachite, enchanted of course, it will never rust, much lighter than a normal sword and sharpened with magic, it will cut anything, the runes I forged in it are capable of channeling your connection with Aetherium, allowing your spells to be more powerful and faster, I called it Crimson Whisper, it is not Zireael, but I hope you like it," Aegon said quickly, seeing that Ciri didn't say a single word
Worry began to wash over the young dragon, at least until his wife literally lunged at him, hugging him with arms and legs, starting to kiss him uncontrollably

Nothing happened for several seconds, until a kind of buzzing sound began to be heard, and a second later, a beautiful sword flew into Jon's hand, enveloped in an aura of white flames that, ironically, exuded an intense cold
A familiar one for the young lioness
"Leviathan, forged specifically to channel the Stark and Targaryen gifts, conjure in its metal a blood-binding spell, allowing me to control it at will," said her husband, as he threw the sword, sending it flying across the room, evidently being controlled by Jon's magic, before returning to his hand
"Shit" said the young lioness with excitement on her face, she loved to see Jon smile, it was something her husband didn't do very often
Ciri cursed a thousand times the Tully bitch who was never able to understand how wonderful Jon was, as well as the weak Eddard Stark, who was never able to put a stop to his spiteful wife

"The city has fallen, Jarl Siddgeir arrived at the gates of Solitude, exiled from his lands accompanied by his uncle."
At those words, Aegon looked at his wife in surprise, no one expected such an action from Ulfric, Falkreath was the closest city to Cyrodill, it made no sense for Ulfric to capture it as a war effort unless...
Siddgeir must have done something really stupid... like mobilize the soldiers to Riften without his or Tulius permission
And with the imbecile giving the traitor such an important territory...
"Send emissaries to Whiterun, an attack by Ulfric is imminent, let Tulius send his legion to reinforce the walls, in the meantime, prepare our men for a lightning attack on Falkreath, Ulfric has not consolidated his rule in the region, send a message to Jarl Igmund, to mobilize two regiments of cavalry towards Falkreath, we must not lost a second, time is essential” Aegon ordered, utterly furious at the useless Jarl's incompetence
